Sleep Sound
“Sleep Sound” is our third full length album to be released in under 2 years. Recorded at our lovely Crypt studio, and written, recorded, mixed and mastered in three months from early January through to early May 2011. A broader palate and with broader references… we hope you love her as much as we do.
Like most all we do, it’s pay what you want so, go get her… if you love Sleep Sound, help sustain us by popping a few quid in the jar.

April
April is our second full album, recorded once again in The Crypt, West Yorkshire between January and April 2010. It includes all the usual Hope and Social fayre and some added springtime beauty in the form of Garforth Brass Band, a string quartet, the Come Dine With Us bottle orchestra and the band’s first full blown sax solo. From the wide-eyed positivity of opening track April to the hand on heart honesty of Marching on Through it’s all in there.

Be The Architect – Box Set (2009)
In October 2009, about 100 or so people crammed into Hope and Social’s studio (the crypt of a Church somewhere in deepest darkest Yorkshire) and took part in what became this record. Recorded in front of a live and very excited audience. Imperfect and lovely because of it. Made possible by people who care!

Architect of this Church (2009)
Our debut album. 16,000 man hours in the making and your for whatever you can afford. This album marked the end of our years playing in/as Four Day Hombre as we shifted our minds to being Hope and Social. The album has the sound of our new home-from-home The Crypt where it was written, recorded and mixed. The writing of it came off the back of a lot of touring, a lot of time away from home and a few trips in and out of the UK – accounting for its focus on England, Englishness and home – with all the positive and negative elements they contain. We can still bear listening to it as well so it must be OK…!

EP (2008)
This EP consists of songs recorded as part of the Architect of this Church sessions in the band’s crypt studio. Includes live favourites “Heaven Falls” and “Buzzer Goes” and a truly gorgeous live take of “Raise a Glass”. Some say that most of these songs should actually have been on the album… it’s possible we were drunk when we decided.

Four Day Hombre
If you’re interested in where we came from then you might be interested to know that before we were Hope and Social we were a band called Four Day Hombre. There’s still a whole load of video and stuff on the internet. You can even hear just about everything we ever did by going here. Here’s a funny interview with swearing and if you are mental or terminally nostalgic then you can still download or buy some of the physical stuff we did on Bandcamp. We’re constantly unearthing old demos so we’ll pop them up on there for your entertainment.
